Purchasing Numbers

To purchase a phone number through the dashboard:
  1. Navigate to the Phone Numbers tab in your dashboard
  2. Click the Buy Numbers button in the top-right corner
  3. Select your requirements:
    • Choose your desired country code
    • Select a preferred provider
  4. Click Acquire Number
The purchased number will appear in the Your Numbers tab immediately and will be ready to assign to any agent.
The maximum number of phone numbers you can acquire depends on your current subscription plan. Check your limits and available quota on the Subscription page.

Importing Numbers via SIP Trunking

If you already have phone numbers with your own telephony provider, you can import them using SIP Trunking (BYOSIP - Bring Your Own SIP). This allows you to:
  • Keep your existing phone numbers
  • Use your preferred telephony provider
  • Maintain control over your telephony infrastructure
  • Avoid number porting or rental fees
To import a phone number using SIP Trunking:
  1. Navigate to the Phone Numbers tab in your dashboard
  2. Click the Buy Numbers button in the top-right corner
  3. Select the Import SIP Number tab
  4. Enter your phone number details:
    • Phone number in E.164 format (e.g., +12025551234)
    • SIP Termination URL from your provider
    • Optional: Display name, username, and password for authentication
  5. Configure your telephony provider to route calls to Smallest AI’s SIP Origination URL
  6. Click Add Custom Number
The imported number will appear in the Your Numbers tab and will be ready to assign to any agent.

Assigning Numbers to Your Agent

Once you have a number, connecting it to your Atom is straightforward:
  1. Navigate to your Atom’s Configure page
  2. Look for the Assign Phone Number section
  3. Open the dropdown menu to see your available numbers
  4. Select the number you want to assign
Make sure to test your agent thoroughly with outbound calls before setting it up for inbound calls. This helps ensure a smooth experience for your callers.
Congrats! Your agent will now answer calls and perform calls from the assigned number!
